Kinesiology tape is an elastic adhesive tape applied directly to the skin. It is used in physiotherapy and sport, among other settings. K-Tape is developed for professional use. A suitably trained professional should assess whether and how taping is appropriate for your symptoms.

Original K-Tape is made of 96% cotton and 4% elastane and is coated with Physiobond acrylic adhesive. It contains no latex, medication or active ingredients. The fabric is elastic, breathable and allows perspiration to pass through.

The colour does not indicate a stronger or weaker tape. Choose according to your personal preference or to match your clothing. For a discreet look, K-Tape My Skin offers a range of skin tones. The appropriate taping application depends on a professional assessment.

Tape from a roll can be cut to suit the planned application. Pre-Cuts are strips that have already been cut, saving you this step. Correct placement and application technique remain important even with pre-cut strips.

K-Tape can stay in place for several days. The actual wear time depends on the application, activity and skin tolerance. Agree on the duration with your treating healthcare professional. If itching or other skin reactions occur, remove the tape immediately.

Yes, K-Tape is water-resistant. Gently pat wet tape dry and then let it air-dry. Avoid rubbing and using a hairdryer: friction can loosen the ends of the tape.

K-Tape is breathable and allows perspiration to pass through. The manufacturer recommends applying it 30 to 60 minutes before exercise. Check with your treating healthcare professional whether the activity you have in mind is appropriate for your symptoms.

The skin should be clean, dry and free of cream or oil. Do not apply tape to broken or irritated skin. Ask a trained professional to show you how to prepare the skin and use the appropriate application technique.

The manufacturer intends K-Tape to be applied by trained K-Taping therapists. Seek professional advice and ask to be shown the appropriate application. Online instructions replace neither an assessment of your symptoms nor professional application.

Even latex-free tape can cause skin reactions. If your skin is very sensitive, tolerance should be checked beforehand. Do not apply tape to wounds or skin affected by disease. If itching, redness or burning occurs, remove it immediately; seek medical advice if symptoms persist or are more severe.

Peel the tape off slowly, keeping it as close to the skin as possible, rather than pulling it off abruptly. Hold the skin in place with your other hand. A little skin-friendly oil can make removal easier. Allow irritated skin to recover before taping again.

No. K-Tape is intended for single use. Do not reuse strips that have come off. Use fresh tape for a new application and first check that the skin is intact and free of irritation.

Open “Create a customer account” and select the customer group that applies to you. Professional groups include therapist / physician, medical institution, midwife and K-Taping Academy graduate. Pupils and students select the corresponding group and upload proof of school or university enrolment. Then complete the form and follow the instructions for confirming or approving your account.

Sign in with the email address and password for your customer account. If you have forgotten your password, use “Forgot your password?”. An account that already existed before the shop changed on 1 July 2026 must be activated once for the new shop. Use “Activate account” below the login form and follow the link in the email. If your account is already activated or was created in the new shop, you can sign in as usual.

First sign in with your customer account that has been approved for professional pricing. For products with a price advantage, the original price is crossed out. Your reduced professional price appears directly below it. The crossed-out amount is therefore not the price that applies to you. Look for the price shown underneath and check the selected product variant or pack size.

After signing in, open “My account”. Your customer group is shown under “Account details”. Click the group name for more information. If reduced prices do not appear, first check that you are signed in to the correct account and assigned to the right customer group. For pupils and students, proof of enrolment or its approval may still be missing. If no group or the wrong group is displayed, or your price advantage remains unclear, contact us at shop@biviax.com.
